Classic Car Show
Do you love classic cars? Then you will not want to miss out on the 17th Annual Show and Shine Mustang and Ford Car Show! On May 2nd, make sure to head out to the streets of Brentwood from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. for all the fun and excitement that this show has to offer.
This event is perfect for those who own a classic Mustang or Ford, as well as those who simply enjoy the beauty of classic cars. If you have your own classic car, whether you are entering it in the show or not, it is important to make sure that you have the right amount of coverage with a specific classic car insurance policy. Classic car insurance differs from typical auto insurance in many ways, including:
- Type of vehicles that will be covered - not all old cars are classic cars. In order to qualify for classic car insurance, your vehicle must fall into one of three categories - Veterans, which are cars built on or before December 1904, Edwardian, which are cars that were built between January 1905 and December 1918, and Limited, which are special interest, rare, or limited edition vehicles. Only foreign sports cars, convertibles, vehicles with big block V8 engines or unique body shapes, and certain 4-door sedans that were built before 1974 are considered classics.
- Storage requirements - if you have a classic car insurance policy for one of your vehicles, it must be stored in a highly secure, designated garage. Many insurance companies will require that you store your classic in a specifically designed storage facility.
- Usage - your classic car should not be used as your everyday vehicle, which is why there is a limit on the amount of miles that can be driven each year.
