Share
Help spread the word by posting reminders on your social media! You can also post pictures of pets looking for a home at your local shelter. Sharing pictures of the pets helps to get them adopted!
Visit
Head to your local shelter and give some love to the animals there. If you live near, you can offer your time as readily as you can - shelters are often widely understaffed. Plus, the pets love the company! Walking the dogs helps to keep them socialized, too.
Donate
Shelters are often constantly in need of food, blankets, beds, toys, dog leashes, and more. If you can't donate cash, consider giving a few supplies to help the shelter pets.
Foster
If you have space in your home, sign up to become a foster. This is where a pet will come to live with you until he/she finds their forever home. By offering the pet a safe and loving home, you help shelters and organizations rescue more animals.
