Check out the upcoming event of the 3rd Saturday Guided Gallery District Tour!Are you a rookie when it comes to the art scene in Oakland? Luckily, you can change that. On the third Saturday of April (16th), there will be a walking tour to introduce the general public to West Oakland Galleries!
This free guided tour will be covering Aggregate Space and Transmission Gallery, where there will be a short presentation from the curators at each location. Alongside the tour, you can also join in the closing party festivities for the Transformed Landscape exhibit and be a part of the Open Field Poetry Reading at Transmission Gallery from 3 - 5 p.m. This is where the Fact and Fancy event featured - a coupling of artists who rewrite, as well as aestheticize history.
The tour will meet at 2:00 p.m. at the Transmission Gallery (770 West Grand Avenue, Oakland) and is led by Cameron Brian, of the Transmission Gallery.
